Jilletta Jarvis Announces Candidacy for NH Governor 2016
Sandown, New Hampshire – Jilletta Jarvis of Sandown, NH, a middle class wife and mother, Compliance & Regulatory Training Officer for a financial industry, former member of Micro-Credit NH, former board member on the ASTD, has declared her candidacy for Governor of New Hampshire today.Mrs. Jarvis is still working on obtaining the necessary 3000 signatures required to be placed on the General Election Ballot on November 8th.
“I am pleased and honored to announce my candidacy for Governor of the amazing state of New Hampshire.I believe it is time to bring true representation to the State House, and as a citizen of the state that has been suffering the same woes as the voters instead of sitting above them,I feel I have a more level view of what people in our state are facing on a daily basis.
Instead of joining the political race early, I joined the corporate race so I could learn more about those major industries that affect every person on a daily basis.I now have experience in Health Care, Finance, Insurance, Technology, and Education. In each of these industries, my job was to find solutions to issues and to help people learn to fix them or teach people to succeed at their jobs in that industry. So now I can come to the office with the experience of being in the trenches of those industries and being in a role where I had to understand the industry well in order to do project management and corporate training;otherwise those I helped would never have succeeded at their jobs.
I am running as an Independent because I believe that too many politicians these days use their party as a crutch to get voters to believe in them.I know that our voters in NH are able to look at the opinions and views of the individual running for the office and that they vote for the person here.I am making my views available on my website and Facebook page where anyone can come in and make comments or ask me questions at any time and I will personally answer them.
The most important things that I can bring to the State House are Communication, a willingness to work with everyone regardless of party affiliation, a problem-solving mentality, and a distaste for putting things off. That means that if there is a problem, I want it solved.I’ve worked under deadlines my whole life and I do not like things dragged out.
I believe that the Government is here to support the people of the state.I believe in our State and I believe that my job as Governor is to work with the Executive Council to make your life in New Hampshire as good a life as you can have. That means keeping you protected and safe. That means making sure you have adequate access to healthcare and social services. That means making sure you have access to education and employment, and that we make living here as affordable as we can.I understand how hard life became when gas went up to almost $4 a gallon. My husband lost a job he had for 11 years to outsourcing back in 2009 and has been working contracts as he finds them, for less than half of what he made at his full time job. Our economy needs improvement; we need more jobs that pay a living wage in the state.
If you’d like to sign a nomination form to help me get my name on the ballot, contact me via my website. If you’d like to visit with me or have me come to one of your community or group meetings, again contact me via my website.I am here for you. That’s what Government should be.”
Jilletta looks forward to a positive campaign and meeting with as many people throughout New Hampshire as she can.She is still working on scheduling visits to different areas of the state so if you’d like to book some time with her, please do not hesitate to reach out.
